The Sopranos 8 p.m., HBO Signature

Team Samantha or Team Jeannie? “The Brady Bunch” or “The Partridge Family”? Dino or Astro? And now: “The Wire” or “The Sopranos”? “The Wire” seems to have gotten more post-air attention and respect than “The Sopranos.” And I do love “The Wire,” but I still prefer the psychological point of view of “The Sopranos,” as well as the character comedy, to the sociological revelations of “The Wire.” If I were doing an all-time list, “The Sopranos” would land one spot higher than “The Wire.” HBO Signature is reairing the series nightly at 8, beginning tonight with the pilot.
