The Sopranos 8 p.m., HBO Signature
Team Samantha or Team Jeannie? “The Brady Bunch” or “The Partridge Family”? Dino or Astro? And now: “The Wire” or “The Sopranos”? “The Wire” seems to have gotten more post-air attention and respect than “The Sopranos.” And I do love “The Wire,” but I still prefer the psychological point of view of “The Sopranos,” as well as the character comedy, to the sociological revelations of “The Wire.” If I were doing an all-time list, “The Sopranos” would land one spot higher than “The Wire.” HBO Signature is reairing the series nightly at 8, beginning tonight with the pilot. The hour includes performances by Dierks Bentley, Maroon 5, Ne-Yo, and the Who.
