Goodbye, Mr. Speaker 8 p.m., Channel 2

Before he retired from the House of Representatives in 1987, Thomas P. “Tip” O’Neill participated in an hourlong profile for WGBH. Tonight, to mark the late congressman’s 100th birthday, which is Dec. 9, WGBH is reairing that 1986 special, which will be introduced by Emily Rooney. Rooney will interview Tip’s son, former lieutenant governor Thomas O’Neill, on “Greater Boston” at 7 p.m.

30 Rock 8 p.m., Channel 7

Yes, “30 Rock” will be around for-like-ever in syndication. But there is nothing like a fresh episode, with its jokes about yesterday’s news. The show is in its final run, with the series finale set to air on Jan. 31 with an hourlong episode. We know the finale won’t be a wedding episode. Liz Lemon tied the knot with Criss last week, wearing the only white dress she owns: A Princess Leia outfit, with cruller hair.
