Kroll Show 10:30 p.m., Comedy Central

This new hit-or-miss sketch series is “League” comedian Nick Kroll’s own “Portlandia,” except he’s focused more on stupid people from around the world, not the good folks of the Pacific Northwest. Each episode jumps among plots and characters (most played by Kroll), in the manner of Tracey Ullman’s shows. My favorite bits in the premiere are part of a reality show about a company called PubLIZity, featuring two repulsive women named Liz (Kroll and Jenny Slate, pictured) who get dramatic about the cupcakes at an event. “Sex in the City for Dudes” — yes, “in” — is less successful, despite the presence of Ed Helms and Adam Pally.
