Dr. Green lives! OK, not Dr. Green, but Anthony Edwards does return to TV in this elaborately plotted, “Da Vinci Code”-esque new series. Edwards told reporters at the recent Television Critics Association press tour that he hadn’t expected to return to TV after “ER,” but he couldn’t deny this script. “I read it, and I could not put it down. And I just said, ‘If these guys are crazy enough to tell this story, I want to do it with them.’ ” Creator Paul Scheuring also promised he knows where the show is going, unlike other creators of serialized shows he’s met over the years. “Before I even put pen to paper in any kind of sense in this, I’m like, ‘What’s the coolest MacGuffin you can come up with?
