Will “The Glass Menagerie” be the latest American Repertory Theater production to head to Broadway? That’s the buzz in the theater world, which last spring watched “Menagerie” director John Tiffany and his hit musical “Once,” developed at the ART, win a raft of Tony Awards.

The ART could not immediately be reached for comment on speculation that Tiffany’s revival of the Tennessee Williams classic will go to Broadway sometime in the spring. In a report this week, The New York Times quoted an unnamed theater executive who said the ART was in talks with commercial producers about a transfer.
