Thirty Seconds to Mars debuts single in space

NEW YORK — The rock band Thirty Seconds to Mars wanted the announcement for their latest studio album to be out of this world. And that’s where the album’s first single debuted.

‘‘Up in the Air’’ was sent to the International Space Station for an exclusive listening Monday. It will be released Tuesday on Earth.
