Anne Perry: Mystery writer and convicted killer

Mystery writer Anne Perry often explores the moral morass of being human. It’s a morass she knows all too well. In the 1950s, Perry, then a teenager, served five years in a New Zealand prison for helping murder her best friend’s mother, the basis of the 1994 movie “Heavenly Creatures.” Perry will discuss her new book “Dorchester Terrace” at the Boston Public Library April 17 at 6 p.m.
