‘Totally MAD: 60 Years of Humor, Satire, Stupidity and Stupidity’

Still alive and kicking at 60 years old, Mad magazine recently poked fun at map-challenged Apple with a mock New Yorker cover that had the Champs Elysses ending at the Sea of Galilee. The cover, which appeared on Mad magazine’s daily blog, was a reminder that an old favorite is still relevant. To celebrate its anniversary, MAD Magazine on Tuesday is publishing “Totally MAD: 60 Years of Humor, Satire, Stupidity and Stupidity” (Time Home Entertainment). You’ll find Spy vs. Spy, David Berg’s “The Lighter Side of . . . ” and other Mad features as well as a removable set of 12 classic Mad covers and essays exploring questions such as “Who is Alfred E. Neuman?”
