“Sublime Nature: Photographs That Awe & Inspire” (National Geographic) is a coffee table book of 125 brilliant images by National Geographic photographers. One is more stunning than the next. You’ll see the geometric designs of a bright green tree python, sand dunes in Morocco aglow from the light of the setting sun, a polar bear underwater and its reflection. The images, taken in the United States and countries throughout the world, were selected by conservationist Cristina Mittermeier. She has categorized the images and scattered quotations from artists and naturalists throughout the book but none of that can compete with the photographs themselves.
