But a strong argument can be made for both. The peerless cast includes Katharine Hepburn, Ralph Richardson, Jason Robards, and Dean Stockwell. Boris Kaufman (“L’Atalante,” “On the Waterfront”) shot it. Ralph Rosenblum (“Annie Hall”) edited it. Richard Sylbert (“The Manchurian Candidate,” “Chinatown”) did the production design.
