‘50 Shades of Grey’ trailer is released

The full trailer for the much-hyped movie adaptation of the erotic E.L. James best-selling romance novel “50 Shades of Grey” is out — and like the book, it’s plenty steamy.

The 2011 novel, the first in a trilogy, was originally self-published before it was picked up by Vintage Books in 2012. It flew off the shelves as the fastest-selling paperback ever. It has sold more than 100 million copies worldwide.

While the novel has been panned by some critics for its poor quality of writing, it has seduced readers with its explicit sex scenes, often referred to as “porn.

The film, starring Dakota Johnson as college student Anastasia Steele and Jamie Dornan as businessman Christian Grey, is directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson. It’s slated to be released Feb. 13, 2015.

As the trailer begins, the elevator doors open. Out walks Steele on her way to meet Grey for the first time.

“What about you? I’d like to know more about you,” Grey says to Steele, high up in a glass office.

“There’s really not much to know about me,” Steele says coyly. “Look at me.”

“I am,” Grey responds, eyes staring into hers.

The music intensifies.

Beyonce’s sexy re-recorded version of her single “Crazy in Love” plays in the background — and things heat up.
