Celebrity Series partners with Longy to present emerging classical performers

In a first for both organizations, Celebrity Series of Boston and Longy School of Music of Bard College have formed a partnership to bring emerging artists to the stage of Longy’s 275-seat Pickman Hall in Cambridge. The innovative joint venture will present five performances during the 2012-13 season, beginning with the Oct. 5 Boston debut of Daniil Trifonov, a Russian pianist who has won prizes at the Tchaikovsky, Chopin, and Rubinstein competitions.
