Bad Brains brings its positive punk back to life

Since its 1977 birth, Bad Brains, the quartet of singer H.R., drummer Earl Hudson, guitarist Dr. Know, and bassist Darryl Jenifer has led a tumultuous charge, inspiring innumerable musicians, undercutting its own legacy, and proving impossible to duplicate. “This is one of the most influential bands of all time, and not just in punk rock,” says Adam Blake, bassist for melodic hard-core band H20. Bad Brains play a sold-out show at the Paradise Rock Club on Monday.
