Metal clashes with country-style rock at Rumble

If you were looking for a coherent musical lineup at the finals of the 2012 Rock ’n’ Roll Rumble competition Friday night at T.T. the Bear’s Place, you came to the wrong show. That’s as it should be. The Boston music scene has traditionally done a few types of music well: metal and hard-core, power-pop, and rootsy-Americana. All three were ably represented on Friday.
