Waka Flocka Flame, ‘Triple F Life’

The Georgia MC brings different flavors on his follow-up to 2010’s “Flockaveli.” Where the debut flaunted relentless production and Waka’s defiant word associations, this has more spacious and savvier tracks. There are requisite bounce songs including “I Don’t Really Care,” featuring a sizzle hook from Trey Songz. Drake shows up on the raucous stripper anthem, “Round of Applause.” Things lean to pop on “Get Low,” another song stealing turns from Nicki Minaj. Guitar-laced “Fist Pump” is a deft change of pace thanks to producer B.o.B. Waka refines his lyrical approach on “Power of My Pen.” When Bun B and Ludacris appear on “Candy Paint & Gold Teeth,” Waka is exposed. Those looking for lyrical dexterity have come to the wrong bottle-popping party. (Out Tuesday) KEN CAPOBIANCO

Waka Flocka Flame plays Comcast Center on June 17.
