Thursday, 9:30 p.m. Good Life, 28 Kingston St., Boston. 21+. Free. 617-451-2622, www.goodlifebar.com.
The deal: With a little help from the guys at TrendBoston.com, Good Life will transform into the ice planet Hoth in a chilly ode to “Star Wars.” If the indoor snow machine and lasers and lights courtesy of Limitless Lumens aren’t enough visual stimulation, clips from “The Empire Strikes Back” will be playing on screens throughout the venue all night. Members from the 501st Legion patrol the premises in full costume for photos and added ambience.
The DJs: DJ tRick, RePsycle, Tony Moreno, and DJ Downer.
Who goes there: “Anyone that likes ‘Star Wars’ will show up, just for the effect of being able to be around other people and enjoy it again,” says Bud Regan, co-owner of TrendBoston.com and contributing host of the evening. “It’s an electronic music scene, so we’ll get the people that would normally come out to our nights, and because it’s a rave, we get people who just love dancing. It’s a lot wider [demographic] than most nights.”
The music: A progressive combination of electro, house, and bass music. Additionally, “Each of the DJs are producing an original ‘Star Wars’ remix,” says Regan. “We’ll be releasing them after on the site, as well as playing them during the night.”
The tip: Come decked out in your “Star Wars” gear for a complimentary Pabst Blue Ribbon.
