Alfie Boe is best known on these shores as a Tony Award winner for “La Boheme” and in his native England as an opera star and in the West End with a stint as Jean Valjean in “Les Miserables.” But inside the classical crossover packaging beats the heart of a man bursting to hoist his horns. “I’m a bit of a metal freak,” he says.
