HIGH FIVE: Scott Heim

If you’re a music nerd, Scott Heim is the guy you should corner at a party. He can hold court on ’50s bubblegum pop (Connie Francis), then get teary-eyed about modern indie rock (Beach House), and end the night discussing the merits of country queens (Dolly Parton). I’ve had that exact conversation with him, maybe twice.

In other words, Heim, a voracious music fan who’s a Boston-based writer (including the novels “Mysterious Skin” and “We Disappear”), is the perfect person to edit a new e-book series called “The First Time I Heard.”
