HOME: House of Musical Expressions

Sunday, 10 p.m.. Machine, 1254 Boylston St. Boston. Presented by DJ Bruno Productions and Bostonhouseheads.com. 21+. Cover: $5 before 11 p.m., $10 after. 617-905-6788, www.machine-boston.com.

The deal: Retired DJ extraordinaire DJ Bruno (Eddy Morency) is re-creating his signature Utopia Sundays with the new, soulful, come-as-you-are night, HOME. Kicking off Sunday, this house-focused night welcomes all walks of life. “Our philosophy is if we can dance together we can live together, and that was the concept we followed,” said Bruno. The rhythmic and tribal beats stray away from the standard radio hip-hop themes, focusing on positive energy and creating a welcoming vibe that will make everyone feel “at home.” “The music we play is about being free and about accepting the people around you as they are.”

The DJs: Residents DJ HouseHead Pete, DJ Savuth, and DJ KC Hallett.

Three songs you might hear: “Follow Me,” by Aly-us; “Video Games,” by Lana Del Rey; and “Love and Happiness,” by River Ocean.

Who goes there: “Everybody,” said DJ Bruno. “Black, white, Asian, Latin, gay, or lesbian — all are welcome.”

The tip: DJ Bruno suggests that everyone “feel free to be who you are.” He says, “Our event attracts a lot of dancers. When you first come in, you may be intimidated by them. Don’t be. . . . You will see someone watching and within a couple of hours they will feel the vibe. The vibe is so infectious, it’s crazy.”
