Night Watch

Eric Prydz at Prime

Saturday, 10 p.m. Prime, 295 Franklin St., Boston. 21+. Limited tickets may be available, for info call 617-800-3604, www.umbria

The deal: Prime partygoers will be spreading the love at Saturday’s Valentine’s Day extravaganza, welcoming Swedish DJ and producer sensation Eric Prydz. The classy downtown joint is sure to be packed with underground and mainstream fans alike, and promoter Stefan Dean says it will be a night to remember. “This is [Prydz’s] first time in Boston. We’re excited to have him and fans have shown that they’re excited too.”

The DJs: Best known for his 2004 hit single “Call on Me,” Prydz will be mixing up house beats. Keep an ear out for “Another Brick in the Wall, Part 2” and “Proper Education.”

Who goes: “We mostly tailor to the 25-35 crowd,” says Dean. “We get a lot of locals, some college kids, people from out of state, and especially electronic dance music fans.”

What to wear: The dress code is upscale, fashion-forward, and strict, prohibiting sneakers, athletic wear, hats, and the like. Dress to impress and be sure to get in, says Dean.

The tip: To remedy a long wait, Dean suggests trying out the Umbria Prime Restaurant, just downstairs, before the party. Upon dining, attendees are offered instant access to the nightclub, without the venture into the cold or the line.
