New seasons for two Boston chamber orchestras

Two of the city’s busiest chamber orchestras recently announced programs for next season.

A Far Cry, the conductorless ensemble based in Jamaica Plain, will offer four concerts at Jordan Hall and four performances on the Sunday series at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, where it is a resident ensemble. The Jordan Hall series begins on Sept. 9 with a Czech-themed program devoted to works by Gideon Klein, Josef Suk, and Mozart (”Prague” Symphony). The Gardner series begins on Sept. 22 with a program entitled “Tapas,” featuring Jean Francaix’s Six Preludes, interspersed with shorter selections by Grieg, Hindemith, Rossini, and Corelli.
