Biebs is back

JUSTIN BIEBER Insider’s tip: Bring some earplugs for when the Biebs makes his grand entrance. When he was last in Boston, also at the Garden, back in November, Bieber descended from overhead wearing a giant pair of wings. And from there the show was a nonstop spectacle of an artist in transition from teen pop to more adult-oriented R&B. July 20, 7 p.m.
Tickets: $42.50-$92.50. TD Garden. 800-745-3000, www.ticketmaster.com

Pop & Rock

EAGLES Let the singalongs commence: "Hotel California," "Take It Easy," "Desperado," "Tequila Sunrise," "Lyin' Eyes." The legendary California rockers are back on the road, armed with those hits along with newer material from 2007's country-flavored "Long Road Out of Eden." July 19, 8 p.m. Tickets: $39.50-$205. Comcast Center, Mansfield. 800-745-3000, www.livenation.com

CODY SIMPSON On "Surfer's Paradise," his new album released this week, the rising teen pop star makes a strong case that he's Australia's answer to Justin Bieber, with whom Simpson has recently toured. Like Bieber, Simpson first grabbed the spotlight by recording songs at home and posting them on YouTube. July 20, 3 p.m. Tickets: $39.50.

STEEL MAGNOLIA When you're in a musical duo with your romantic partner and you break up, chances are good that your other partnership ends as well. For a while, that was apparently the case for Steel Magnolia, but the country pop duo has reconvened, at least for touring purposes. July 19, 9 p.m. Tickets: $18. Brighton Music Hall. 800-745-3000, www.ticketmaster.com

SPENCER LIVINGSTON AND COURTNEY JONES These young folk artists — he leans more indie, she's more poppy — are the first signings to former Boston musician Peter Malick's newly launched record label. Malick brings them to his hometown to celebrate their new releases and his new label. July 21, 8 p.m. Tickets: $5. Wonder Bar. 617-351-2665, www.wonderbarboston.com. July 22, Club Passim, Cambridge.

NEW COUNTRY REHAB Our neighbors to the north always seem to come up with their own take on roots music, and this Toronto band is no exception. As their name suggests, their aim is to come up with something new by refurbishing the old. July 24, 8 p.m. Tickets: $15. Club Passim, Cambridge. 617-492-7679. www.passim.org Stuart Munro
