Dan Bejar translates the Destroyer’s latest

On Nov. 25, the enigmatic Canadian indie-rock band Destroyer releases new material for the first time since 2011’s “Kaputt.” The very literally titled “Five Spanish Songs” is an EP of songs written by Spanish musician Antonio Luque. Frontman Dan Bejar became a fan of Luque’s music 21 years ago, when his cousin played guitar in Luque’s band Sr. Chinarro.

“My Spanish is OK, but I’m not fluent,” said Bejar — which is good, because neither are we. So we asked him to translate the track list for us in his own terms.
