We’ve heard rumors that the Zac Brown Band would be playing a country show at Fenway Park in June. On Thursday, Live Nation confirmed the gig for June 28 — just two days after Billy Joel plays the ballpark. The concert announcement was made at Tiffani Faison’s restaurant Sweet Cheeks. At least one Red Sox player approves of the booking: Jake Peavy appeared on video during the event to call the Zac Brown Band a “great bunch of musicians that will rock your absolute face off.” Tickets, $39.50 to $99.50, go on sale at 10 a.m. on March 29. We expect seats to go fast; another country act,
Jason Aldean, sold out two shows at Fenway last summer.
