TANGLEWOOD On Wednesday at Ozawa Hall, pianist Jeremy Denk performs Ives’s “Concord” Sonata and Bach’s “Goldberg Variations”; and on Thursday Nicholas McGegan leads the Philharmonia Baroque in a concert performance of Handel’s “Teseo” with a cast that includes Dominique Labelle, Amanda Forsythe, Drew Minter, and Jeffrey Fields. Then on Friday, Stéphane Denève is back on the BSO podium to lead Beethoven’s “Emperor” Concerto (with Emanuel Ax) as well as Prokofiev’s “Alexander Nevsky” cantata. On Saturday, Bramwell Tovey returns with a complete concert performance of Bernstein’s “Candide,” and a cast that includes Frederica von Stade, Anna Christy, Kathryn Leemhuis, Nicholas Phan, Beau Gibson, Paul LaRosa, and Richard Suart. And on Sunday afternoon, Charles Dutoit leads the Tanglewood Music Center Orchestra in music of Stravinsky (“Firebird”) and Rachmaninoff (Piano Concerto No. 3, with Nikolai Lugansky).
