Special section: The Gardner Grows

The Tapestry Room in the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum hosted concerts for many years. But with the creation of the Calderwood Performance Hall in the new wing, the Gardner has restored the Tapestry Room to its original condition. The stage has been removed, new lighting has been added, and the floor has been refurbished. In addition, a medieval stone fireplace has been restored, and a piano and furnishings have been placed in their original locations, based on period photographs of the room.
