How do you explain that to a 4-year-old?,” wonders Fat Mike of NOFX about his tattoos. For artists whose ethos hinges on challenging authority, Jim Lindberg of Pennywise observes “It’s tough to be a punk rock hero and still be a good authority figure for your kid.” Other dads chiming in include pro skater Tony Hawk, Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Mark Hoppus of Blink-182, Lars Frederiksen of Rancid, and Art Alexakis of Everclear.
