The night has no shortage of celebrations. If your taste runs more toward Broadway, this special, live from the West Lawn of the Capitol, is up your Great White Way. It features two-time Tony winner Matthew Broderick, four-time Tony nominee Kelli O’Hara, and “Smash” star and Broadway veteran Megan Hilty. Also on hand to light the candle on America’s cake and sing it happy birthday is “American Idol” winner Phillip Phillips, last year’s “The Voice” victor Javier Colon, country singer Josh Turner, and Kool and the Gang, who know a thing or two about celebrating.
