I Found the Gown 10 p.m., TLC
You guessed it: This is from the makers of “Say Yes to the Dress.” Apparently they only speak in rhymes, which can be problematic when they’re talking about bridesmaids dresses that are “orange.” This new wedding-related series, which focuses on the frugal bride, is set locally, at Vows in Watertown. Owners Leslie and Rick DeAngelo (above) are the expert consultants, and they will go to factory attics and warehouses to find discount dresses for three brides-to-be per episode. Time to bargain down at a store in Watertown.

The Newsroom Sunday at 10 p.m., HBO
I understand all that’s wrong with this series, which finishes its first season on Sunday night. The characters are all too self-important and cutesy and they speak in robotic rhythms. And Aaron Sorkin uses them like puppets to make his Big Points. The show feels like liberal self-pleasuring. Still, I am hooked, because I think the issues are smart and very now. The show beautifully delivers the TV news media and its problems circa 2012.
