Critic’s Corner: What’s on TV tonight?

Abby & Brittany 10 p.m., TLC

This new TLC reality series is about the lives of identical conjoined twins Abby and Brittany Hensel, as the 22-year-olds graduate from Bethel University in St. Paul, Minn., and search for jobs. The pair, who’ve gotten lots of media attention over the years, have separate heads but share a body. They have separate hearts, lungs, and stomachs, but one liver. Abby controls the right side of the body, and Brittany has the left, and together they ride bikes, dance, and drive cars.

While the likes of PBS and CNN give the convention their full primetime lineup, the major networks – ABC, NBC, CBS – are going to give it an hour tonight. Ann Romney is scheduled to give a speech, which will probably try to 1) show us Mitt’s “softer” side and 2) justify the ticket to women voters.

Hillbilly Handfishin’ 8 p.m., Animal Planet

First thought: Purell.

Property Virgins 9 p.m., HGTV

They want a breakfast nookie.

19 Kids and Counting 9 p.m., TLC

With 19 you get chow mein.
