Saturday Night Live 11:30 p.m., Channel 7
NBC is really trying to make “Up All Night” work, rejiggering the show’s concept so that it barely resembles the original idea of a father raising a kid while the mother works with a narcissist. That’s probably why “Up All Night” star Christina Applegate is hosting “SNL” tonight, with Cambridge’s own Passion Pit as the musical guests. Pictured: Applegate with “SNL” member Jason Sudeikis.
American Horror House 9 p.m., Syfy
Not to be confused with FX’s “American Horror Story.” Or maybe, yes, to be confused. Syfy may be hoping the similar title will bring a few viewers to this movie, about a bunch of pretty girls who learn the dark truth about their haunted sorority house. The big kicker in the movie’s trailer: “Kappa Kappa Die.” Morgan Fairchild (pictured) stars.
