Election Night Coverage

Yes, it’s actually going to happen. After this long, long, long buildup, the presidential election is today, with results all over TV Tuesday night. Except, you know, on the CW. Get ready for lots of filler, lots of maps, lots of conjecture and analysis, and, particularly on CNN, lots of bugs on the peripheries of your screen.

The Daily Show With Jon Stewart  11 p.m., Comedy Central

The Colbert Report  11:30 p.m., Comedy Central

These two shows are going live for Election Night, because by 11 p.m., you may be ready to laugh absurdly. Stewart’s show is subtitled, “This Ends Now,” while Colbert’s show has a more comically cumbersome name: “A Nation Votes, Ohio Decides; The Re-Presidenting of America: Who Will Replace Obama? ’012!” By the way, both of these episodes will air on MTV’s Times Square jumbotron in New York and stream live on ComedyCentral.com.

Sin Takes a Holiday  9:30 p.m., TCM

Day off. It has to go vote in Vegas.

Alaska: The Last Frontier  9 p.m., Discovery Channel

Misty water-colored memories, of the way we were.

Storage Wars  Marathon 6 p.m.-4 a.m., A&E

Escape the election, unit by unit by unit.
