Claire Danes and Damian Lewis in “Homeland.”
Homeland Sunday at 8 p.m., Showtime
The season ended on Sunday, but Showtime is reairing the finale and it’s on demand. And I feel as though I need to rewatch it. Strings were tied up, certainly, and with some cleverness; and yet I never quite believed the bond between Carrie (Claire Danes) and Brody (Damian Lewis). Their undying commitment, now that they’re officially star-crossed lovers, seemed odd, especially given that recently she called him a disgrace to the nation. I liked them better together when they were both playing each other and falling for each other
simultaneously.

There’s something about the thought of PSY performing “Gangnam Style” for the president of the United States that’s irresistibly weird. And that’s not only because he recently came out of a controversy about having sung anti-American lyrics in 2004. But before PSY closes the show with his moves, Diana Ross, Megan Hilty, Demi Lovato, and Scotty McCreery will sing, and Conan O’Brien will host. Pictured (from left): O’Brien, Sasha Obama, President Obama, PSY, and McCreery.
