Killing Lincoln Sunday, 8 p.m., National Geographic Channel
Could our 16th president be any hotter? From vampire hunting to car sales to Spielberg films, Honest Abe is definitely winning in the dead presidents sweepstakes. NatGeo even dubs him “The Elvis of Presidents.” This original TV movie, which, as its title implies, chronicles the days before Lincoln’s assassination, has an intriguing pedigree. It is based on a book by Bill O’Reilly, executive produced by the Scott Brothers (Ridley and the late Tony), narrated by Tom Hanks (who also appears onscreen as a repository of exposition), and stars Billy Campbell (above), who apparently can’t stay away from projects with “Killing” in the title.
