SKYFALL

(Comcast Movie Collections: Just In) The James Bond movie franchise turns 50 and continues with Daniel Craig in the title role. But to hear everybody in this tedious movie debate whether, after 23 movies, James is now too long in the tooth for glamorous spycraft, you would think the star of this movie is Methuselah. With Judi Dench, Ralph Fiennes, and, as the hilariously blond villain, Javier Bardem. (PG-13; runs through Aug. 5)

THE PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER ½

(Comcast Movie Collections: Just In) Author Stephen Chbosky adapts and directs his young adult cult novel into a moving, if visually drab, portrait of unhappy teens finding sustenance in each other. It’s frank enough to shock the parents but also genuinely and uniquely kind to all its characters. With Logan Lerman, Ezra Miller, and Emma Watson making a credible move beyond Hogwarts. (PG-13; runs through Oct. 1)

SAVING GRACE ½

(Comcast Movie Collections: All New Movies) More amiable than original, this village comedy set in Cornwall stars Brenda Blethyn as a widow — warmly regarded by her neighbors — who teams up to keep the law off her neck so that she can grow marijuana and pay off her debts. (R; runs through Aug. 12)
