Critic’s Corner: What’s on TV this weekend

Arrested Development Sunday on Netflix

Finally, after months — no, years — of hype, the “Arrested Development” episode dump arrives on Sunday. That’s 15 new episodes of the 2003-06 series that was celebrated by critics and won a few Emmys including best comedy, but that no one watched. In the new season, each episode will focus on a different character, but shouldn’t all of them be about Tobias Funke? Pictured (from left): Jeffrey Tambor and Jason Bateman.

Sanjay is a boy, Craig is his talking pet snake. Yeah, yeah. Here’s the fun: The voice cast includes “Nerdist” and “Talking Dead” host Chris Hardwick, Maulik Pancholy of “30 Rock,” Tony Hale of “Arrested Development,” and “Freaks and Geeks” alum and “Mad Men” guest Linda Cardellini. Not too shabby, kids. The plot in the premiere: “The world’s first butt transplant.”
