Welcome to the Family 8:30 p.m., NBC
I always love a culture clash comedy — not. In this new sitcom, an affluent white family and a working-class Latino family learn that their teens are expecting a child together. This is ultra predictable stuff, as the warring parents give in to those loving kids and those tired ethnic clichés. The Originals 9 p.m., the CW
This “Vampire Diaries” spinoff is about the world’s original vampires, three siblings including Joseph Morgan’s villainous Klaus (pictured). They go to New Orleans, where they reunite with a former protégé who now rules with an army of vampires and witches. This isn’t for me; been there, done that too often with other hottie CW creatures, with “True Blood,” and with “Interview With a Vampire.” But I sense that fans of “The Vampire Diaries” will want to feed on this pretty mood piece.
