LADY GAGA & THE MUPPETS HOLIDAY SPECTACULAR The pop provocateur teams up with her felt-covered friends for some seasonal songs and sketch comedy. Along for the sleigh ride are Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Kristen Bell, and Elton John. We’re guessing there may be a karate chop in her future if Gaga gets too close to Kermit. ABC, Nov. 28, 9:30 p.m.

CHRISTMAS IN CONWAY Get out your holiday hankie as Andy Garcia, Mary-Louise Parker, and Mandy Moore spin a tale of romance, terminal illness, and Ferris wheels. ABC, Dec. 1, 9 p.m.

THE SOUND OF MUSIC LIVE! Country superstar Carrie Underwood steps into the famous dirndl for this live take on the holiday favorite. Filling out the cast is Stephen Moyer of “True Blood” as Captain Von Trapp and Tony winners Christian Borle (“Smash”), Audra McDonald (“Private Practice”), and Laura Benanti (“Go On.”) Fans of the classic Julie Andrews-Christopher Plummer film take note, this version is based on the Broadway musical that preceded it. CHRISTMAS IN ROCKEFELLER CENTER The famous Christmas tree goes live with this celebration hosted by “Today” anchors Matt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie, Al Roker, and Natalie Morales, and featuring performances from Mariah Carey, Kelly Clarkson, Mary J. Blige, and Toni Braxton among others. NBC, Dec. 4, 8 p.m.

KELLY CLARKSON’S CAUTIONARY CHRISTMAS MUSIC TALE A cavalcade of stars joins the pop star for a “comedic musical take on a traditional Christmas morality tale.” Among those getting in on the fun will be country star and “Voice” coach Blake Shelton, Clarkson’s new stepmother-in-law Reba McEntire, buddy Trisha Yearwood, and comics Robin Williams and Whoopi Goldberg. Expect tunes from Clarkson’s recent holiday album, “Wrapped in Red.” NBC, Dec. 11, 10 p.m.

“IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE” No man is a failure who has friends, so gather yours around to watch once again — or for the first time — Frank Capra’s enduring ode to the impact of the individual on the community. NBC, Dec. 14, 8 p.m.

MICHAEL BUBLE’S 3RD ANNUAL CHRISTMAS SPECIAL The Canadian crooner returns to spread the musical good cheer. This year he’s joined by Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, and the Cookie Monster. Expect swellegant and sassy renditions of classics, including “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” and “I’ll Be Home for Christmas.” NBC, Dec. 18, 10 p.m.

A HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS WITH CELINE DION  This annual special highlighting the families made through adoption has become a reliable holiday heartwarmer. Interspersed with the family stories, the “Titanic” diva will perform as will R&B star Ne-Yo and country singer Chris Young. CBS, Dec. 18, 8 p.m.

CHRISTMAS IN WASHINGTON Hugh Jackman hosts this annual holiday concert from the capital. The audience — including the president and first lady — will be treated to performances by Backstreet Boys, Sheryl Crow, Janelle Monáe, Pat Monahan of Train, and actress-singer Anna Kendrick (“Pitch Perfect”). TNT, Dec. 20, 8 p.m.
