Treme Sunday, 9 p.m., HBO
This trenchant drama, set in post-Katrina New Orleans, never got the big buzz of other HBO siblings that premiered in the same era like “Boardwalk Empire” or “Game of Thrones,” but it certainly had something to say, and received critical acclaim for the way it said it as a terrific cast — including the great Wendell Pierce (pictured), Khandi Alexander, John Goodman, and Kim Dickens — examined issues of culture, politics, race, and music. Since music was such an integral ingredient, we’re hoping for a second line funeral procession in this series finale.
Nikita Friday, 9 p.m., the CW
The buttkicking heroine (Maggie Q, pictured) fights her final battle in the series finale and she is out for revenge, enlisting the help of Alex (Lyndsy Fonseca). It’s unclear what the future holds for Nikita and Michael (Shane West) but we bet their kids would be beautiful.
