Broken Flowers ★ ★ ★ ★

(Comcast Free Movies) Bill Murray attains an unparalleled state of grace in the Jim Jarmusch film, a minimalist road movie about an aging lover-boy who sets out across America to find which of his ex-lovers might have had their child. Sharon Stone, Frances Conroy, Jessica Lange, and Tilda Swinton are among those he encounters. (R; runs through Jan. 14) Ty Burr

Paperhouse ★ ★ ★ ½

(Comcast Free Movies) This story of an English schoolgirl, who attempts to resolve her troubles by vanishing into a landscape she draws at school, plays like “Nightmare on Elm Street” with brains. (PG-13; runs through Jan. 14)

The Darjeeling Limited ★ ★ ½

(Comcast Free Movies) Set aboard an eponymous Indian train, Wes Anderson’s diorama is about three brothers – Owen Wilson, Adrien Brody, and Jason Schwartzman – hatched seemingly from the same nose. The movie is another designer escapade from a director who seems happy to turn out pleasing, if indulgent, cartoons. Late in this one, something amazing does happen: the diorama tips over and spills over into life as it is lived in a small desert village. For a minute, the contours of life deepen this coloring book, and the tourist gets off his train. (R; runs through Jan. 14)
