Open Studio With Jared Bowen Friday, 8:30 p.m., Channel 2

Bowen welcomes a pair of heavyweight thespians to the show. Tony- and Emmy Award-nominated actress Kate Burton is currently tearing it up on the small screen as the conniving Vice President Sally Langston on the deliciously soapy “Scandal” on ABC. She chats with Bowen about her upcoming performance, alongside real-life son Morgan Ritchie, in the Huntington Theatre Company’s production of the Chekov classic “The Seagull.” Academy Award-winning actor and South Shore resident Chris Cooper (“Adaptation”) talks to Bowen about his recent performance in the film adaptation of “August: Osage County” alongside Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts.

Hannibal Friday, 10 p.m., NBC

In the season two premiere, the mask is on the other face as Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) languishes behind bars thanks to the nefarious gourmand Hannibal Lecter (a chillingly good Mads Mikkelsen). While Will plots, Lecter is happily helping Jack Crawford (Laurence Fishburne, not to be confused with Samuel L. Jackson) catch the (other) bad guys.
