One Hour Photo

(Starz on Comcast) A thriller that takes off from the notion that the guy at the photomat is privy to the most intimate moments of our lives — and what if he wanted in? Robin Williams plays a man desperate for attention in a way that eerily echoes his own need for some, but the film itself is juiceless and studied. (R; runs through Sept. 30)

Ty Burr

Saving Grace ½

(Starz on Comcast) More amiable than original, this village comedy set in Cornwall stars Brenda Blethyn as a nice widow, warmly regarded by the townspeople, who unite in complicity to keep the law off her neck as she tries to rid herself of debts by growing marijuana. (R; runs through Sept. 4)

Adrenaline Drive

(Starz on Comcast) Lightweight Japanese comedy with a take-the-money-and-run plot. A young corporate nerd and a shy nurse happen upon mob money, then flee, hoping the mob won’t happen upon them. We’ve been here before, too often. This one seems powered by Redi-Whip — not by, well, adrenaline. (Unrated; runs through Sept. 30)
