Critic’s corner: What’s on TV Wednesday

Walter Thompson

Broad City 10:30 p.m., Comedy Central

This show is sick, I tell you, sick. And I love it. Adapted from a Web series, it’s about two close 20-something women in New York who have crummy entry-level jobs, a penchant for making bad decisions, and an excess of spirit. Played by Ilana Glazer (right) and Abbi Jacobson, the codependent buddies are like Mary and Rhoda — after a few rounds of bongs. They’re losers, in a way, but funny and sympathetic, too. Amy Poehler is one of the show’s executive producers.

Wahlburgers 10:30 p.m., A&E

Sometimes I wonder if, along with promoting the restaurant and the Wahlberg brand in general, this reality series is also part of a publicity rollout for the dreaded and now-filming “Entourage” movie — dreaded because the TV show and its characters were played out, which is why it was canceled. This episode is called “The Real Entourage,” with Mark bringing his buddies, including Johnny Drama, to LA. Pictured: Paul, Donnie, and Alma.
