Nickelodeon’s 27th Annual Kids’ Choice Awards Saturday, 8 p.m.

And you thought awards season ended with the Oscars? Instead of red carpets and fancy dress, the A-list stars walk an orange rug and get doused in green slime and most of them seem to love it. Mark Wahlberg hosts the shindig which hands out trophies in categories like favorite movie and TV show but also for “Favorite Buttkicker” and “Most Enthusiastic Athlete” — which includes nominee David Ortiz of the Red Sox. American Authors and Aloe Blacc are on tap to provide the music, and presenters will include Kristen Bell (“Frozen,” “Veronica Mars”) and Andy Samberg (“Saturday Night Live,” “Brooklyn Nine-Nine.”)

Saturday Night Live Saturday, 11:30 p.m., NBC

Louis C.K. returns to handle the hosting duties on the long-running sketch comedy show. Last time out he had a couple of good bits, including Abe Lincoln starring in a “Louie”-style comedy. There were a few clunkers as well, so hopefully the balance will tilt toward the former. Brit soul singer Sam Smith provides the tunes.
