TV Critic’s Corner for Thursday, July 3

Justin Lubin/NBC

Undateable 8, 8:30, and 9 p.m., NBC

NBC is airing the last three new episodes of “Undateable” tonight, after a short run that was only very slightly successful. Fewer than 3 million viewers watched the show, which isn’t great, but enough of them were in the 18-49 demo to make it matter. And the ratings stayed fairly steady in that demo across the run. Also, the show has outrated last summer’s original comedies, including “Save Me” and “The Goodwin Games.” If you’re a network, you’re trying to look at the upside, and forget about the fact that what you’re airing is pretty mediocre.
