Critic’s corner: What to watch this weekend

Front Row Boston Saturday, 11 p.m., Channel 2

Not interested in jostling to get up close to bands in clubs? This show aims to save you gas, beer money, and errant mosh pit elbows by putting you onstage and backstage with artists playing local venues. The eight-episode series kicks off, fittingly enough, with a show featuring the Dropkick Murphys at the House of Blues. Subsequent installments, which will include peeks inside the green room and on tour buses, will feature retro soul singer Nick Waterhouse, rockers Typhoon, and alt-country buzz band The Lone Bellow. Talking Dead Sunday, 9 p.m., AMC

If you tune into AMC this weekend, it might seem a little lifeless. That’s because the network is in the middle of it’s “Dead, White, and Blue Weekend,” airing all four seasons of “The Walking Dead” back-to-back. The undead marathon concludes with this look behind the scenes at the upcoming fifth season, with host Chris Hardwick (“@midnight”) and guests including series executive producer Scott M. Gimple and actress Aisha Tyler. Pictured: Steven Yeun and Lauren Cohan.
