Édouard Manet is often called “the father” of modern art. But less well known is that in the 1860s, Manet also played a leading role in an etching revival just then getting underway in France. “Manet in Black,” at the Museum of Fine Arts, draws welcome attention to this side of Manet’s oeuvre.
