Ryan Landry’s ‘Mary Poppers’ flies high at Machine

You might wonder why Ryan Landry and his Gold Dust Orphans haven’t deconstructed Mary Poppins before now. They have, of course, been busy with other inviting targets, doing shows like “Of Mice and Mink” and “Phantom of the Oprah” and “All About Christmas Eve.” Now P. L. Travers’s umbrella-wielding nanny is up and flying at Machine, and it turns out that “Mary Poppers” was well worth the wait.
