‘Million Dollar Quartet’ highlight of year’s Broadway in Boston

The Tony Award-winning hit “Once” will join the jukebox musical “Million Dollar Quartet,” the Lucille Ball homage “I Love Lucy Live on Stage,” the Queen musical “We Will Rock You,” and the screen-to-stage adaptation “Flashdance — The Musical” in Broadway in Boston’s 2013-14 season, which kicks off in July with the world premiere of the pre-Broadway musical “Tuck Everlasting.”

“Once,” which scored eight Tonys last spring, including best musical, will run Jan. 7-19, 2014, at the Colonial Theatre. Now beginning its second year on Broadway, it was developed in a workshop at the American Repertory Theater, where John Tiffany — who won a best-director Tony for “Once” — recently returned to stage “The Glass Menagerie.”
